Condoms only work if used- sounds obvious doesn’t it? Young people told us that the widely available condoms are used for many reasons but not during sex (garters, polishing!!!). We conducted research with young people to design condoms – the focus is not only “prevention of disease or pregnancy” but also pleasure and enjoyment. Quality, flavour, texture and packaging all matter-and these are taken into account in the design of CHIEDZA condoms. Co-designed by young people and ARDENT Creative, one million condoms have now arrived for young people accessing the CHIEDZA intervention.
